The NCSU Agricultural in Agricultural Science Directory

The mission of the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education is to develop, support, and lead professionals in agricultural and extension education. Education about agriculture occurs in public schools, in Cooperative Extension settings, and within the agricultural industry. To accomplish our mission, the department provides academic degree programs, support for statewide extension activities, and supports the efforts of over 380 agricultural education teachers at high schools and middle schools throughout North Carolina. Our department’s efforts are aimed at two of the nation’s greatest resources – its people and the agricultural industry. We are committed to serving the people of the state, through providing support for teaching, through our support for the professionals who work with the youth in the state in FFA and 4H programs, through our support for extension professionals who develop programs for families, and for those who are involved in informing the public about the great agricultural industry.
