The aim of The German Society for Horticultural Science Inc. is to promote horticultural science. The interchange of ideas and information between scientist and user of research results e.g. consultant, horticultural practitioner, breeder, agrochemical industry is the primary focus of the members of The Society. The Society has about 350 members of various backgrounds and from different institutions: researchers, educators, advisors, practitioners, industrials, private persons. Most members are from Germany; however, The Society is becoming increasingly international. This provides improved opportunity of research cooperation and study visits primarily within Europe.
