CPC provides consulting services for problems with insect pests, bee management, pollination issues, and seed production issues. Bee management includes advising growers on bee species, nest or colony placement, timing of colony placement, bee density, and assessing colony strength to optimize pollination and crop yield, and to minimize pollination costs. Crop pollination issues are related to problems with fruit set and poor yields of field and greenhouse crops. PC is continuing research for the cranberry industry in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The company is researching honey bee colony management strategies to increase fruit set and yield.
