Trypanotolerance Centre in Agricultural Science Directory

 

The International Trypanotolerance Centre ITC is an autonomous, nonprofitmaking research institution, established by an act of Parliament in 1982. ITC was conceived to serve the West African region, particularly the subhumid and humid zones. Its R&D agenda is consistent with and pertinent to the current policies of governments of West Africa, and to the principles of CORAFWECARD. Main partners in the implementation of R&D are the National Agricultural Research Institutions NARS. To contribute to the efforts in increasing livestock productivity and utilisation in the West African region through the optimal and sustainable exploitation of the genetic resistance of indigenous breeds of livestock for the welfare of the human populations.
