To provide a vehicle for a coordinated and comprehensive approach to improve manure management in Iowa. The Iowa Manure Management Action Group IMMAG was established in the spring of 1997 through the leadership of the Natural Resources Conservation Service. IMMAG is a statelevel committee with representation from the following private and public sector groups: Natural Resource Conservation Service NRCS, Iowa Environmental Council, Agribusiness Association of Iowa, Iowa Farm Bureau, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Cattlemens Association, Iowa Poultry Association, Iowa Turkey Federation, Iowa State Dairy Association, Conservation Districts of Iowa, Farm Credit Services of America, Iowa Department of Natural Resources IDNR, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Iowa Commercial Nutrient Applicators Association, Iowa Beef Center, Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension, and the College of Agriculture.
